You Don't Care

The cross is the evidence of the ultimate love of God for His creations,  especially man.

The song "You Don't Care" is my version of contextualizing a line from the old school song lyrics "Eni ti won tori e na mi, ni n o pada fe"  (Adeolu Akinsanya) translated "the person over whom I was beaten is the one I'm going to marry"  within the love of God portrayed by the passion of the Christ. "You Don't Care" imposed the idiom "I don't care" on the attitude of Jesus to the pain He suffered just because of us.

There are three major players in this song: the Pharisees of Jesus' day, Jesus and those who were touched by Jesus. The listener is actively in the last category since the song is written as a narration of someone whom Jesus Christ loves.

The Pharisees didn't care about the blind man, the woman caught in adultery nor about the man bedridden for 38 years but they had issues with Jesus' care and love for these people. I am one of such persons that Jesus loves. He suffered for my sake too and did not care that He would be hated, beaten and cursed for my sake. Till date, Jesus Christ is still being hated on and being cursed because of all He did and is doing for my sake, but you know what, the actions of the jealous and haters did not move Him and cannot move Him to change His mind about me. When the devil brings an accusation against me, Jesus Christ simply says "I don't care".
